NHS and Local Services
We are committed to offering as many NHS and locally advised services as possible within Savages for your benefit and our team undertake regular training sessions to keep these offerings up-to-date for you.
Winter Flu Vaccination Service
From September to March we offer this service for NHS ‘at risk groups’ (please note these groups may change in the upcoming flu season – if you are unsure of your suitability, please speak to your pharmacist during August / September to confirm this). Private vaccinations for those not in ‘at risk’ groups are also available.
Sexual Health
Partnering with Essex Sexual Health Services, we can provide FREE emergency contraception (commonly known as the ‘morning-after pill’) for those 18 years old and younger, after confidential consultation with our pharmacist. We also offer the eC-card, FREE condoms for those aged 16-24 who live in the Essex area who have registered with the app.
Stop Smoking Course
our expert advisors are on hand to help you through quitting smoking for good. With weekly check in’s and products to support you, ask us how we can help you today.
Medicines Use Review
Our Pharmacists can review your medicines and ensure you are getting the best from them and liaise with your prescriber if necessary. Commissioned by the NHS, this service utilises the skills of pharmacists as medicines experts.
New Medicines Service
Studies show the first 4 weeks of taking a new medicine are where problems mostly occur, and this service allows our pharmacist to guide you through any issues and review its benefits for you. (Specific medicine categories only – your pharmacist will discuss if your new medicine is eligible for this NHS service)
